I arrived to Givat Haiim Meuhad, the place of the show at 11 AM, 2 hours before the show was supposed to begin, but of course, the show started 2 hours late at 3 PM.

We where 9 handlers, kids and teenagers, each handler brought his best dog that together they will look perfect.
They were different breeds that were handled, Hungarian Visla, Miniature Schnauzer, Belgian Shepherd Gronendeal, Pomeranian, Pug and Cairn terrier.

Before the show started Ben Karpel gathered all the handlers and talked about the next year, all the plans for the junior handling year and more.

The show started, all the handlers entered the ring together with their dogs and we did 2 rounds.
After that we posed our dogs at the SHOW commend and Janiki Steinbock was the first judge that judged us.
She asked from each handler to pose his dog and after that to do the L exercise, when we do the L, we need to walk straight forward away from the judge and then turn left or right, according to the judge's demand.
The Janiki asked each handler some questions about the breed he handled and then we returned to our place and Avi Malach was the next to judge us.

Avi Malach took 2 handlers together, asked some questions about the dog's anatomy and told us to do a T exercise that means to walk straight forward from the judge and then each handler needs to turn left or right, according to the judge's decision, and then come back straight to the judge together.
Then we switched our dogs, I got a Cairn terrier named Napo and my Belgian Shepherd Gronendeal went to another handler.

Yossi Guy was the last judge to judge us and he asked us to do an UP&DOWN exercise that is to walk straight forward from the judge and come back the same way.
We were still with our "new" dogs that we switched earlier so it was a bit unfamiliar for some handlers to do that.
Then Yossi asked us to do more junior handling exercise like T and L and after that we got our dogs back.

After the 3 judges judged us, we were told to left the ring for 20 minutes to calculate each handler's point and to choose the 4 best handler from the 9 to compete for the title of THE BEST ISRAELI JUNIOR HANDLER 2008 and for the right to represent us at the junior handling competition at the CRUFTS, the largest show in the world.

After the 20 minutes were gone, we were called back to the rings with our dogs and Ben Karpel, the junior handling manager at the IKC(Israeli kennel club) and Muli Davidovich, the junior handling organizer talked about the last year and the next year and each handler got a diploma of our competing at the junior handling league and a photo from one of the junior handling competitions.

After all the nice words and the gifts Ben Karpel called the best 4 handlers that will continue to compete for the title of the BEST JUNIOR HANDLER.
Ben called at each handler's number and the best 4 were:
Yaara Hauzer, Dor Bazdattni, Maria Kraskin and Daniella Lerman.

When the rest of the handlers got out of the ring the show continued, Avi Malach asked from each handler to do an UP&DOWN and a circle.
After that Yossi Guy asked each handler questions in English to see if the handlers are capable to answer to questions in English.
Then Ben Karpel announced that there is a Surprise Dog, that dog was a sweet Beauceron and each handler was asked to do a T with the dog.

Then Ben Karpel said who won the 4th place, then the 3rd, the 2nd and last but not least the 1st.
The winner on the 4th place was my dear and best friend Daniella Lerman with the sweet Chicki the Schipperke, the 3rd place winner was Yaara Hauzer with Napo the Cairn Terrier, the 2nd place went to Dor Bazdattni with Rocco the Cairn Terrier and the 1st place went to:
My dear and best friend Maria Kraskin with the lovely Hungarian Visla Jhony!!!

Congratulations to all the 4 winners and to the rest of the competitors:
Yael Davidovich, Michal Boslavich, Reut Ankri, Ilana Gutman and Hila Hadar(me).

Great thanks to the judges: Mrs. Janiki Steinbock, Mr. Avi Malach and Mr. Yossi Guy.
